          Betty Avery Byrd, 90, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, at her home.  She was born October 19, 1933, in Harnett County to the late Rastus Frank Avery and Alene Marie Fields Avery.  

          She is preceded in death by her husband Wayman Byrd, her son Jerome Lee Byrd, and her sisters Kellon Decaro, Shirley Odom and Nancy Capps.

          She was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.  She loved her church and especially loved her family.
